Mainframe Migration

Automated conversion of legacy mainframe assets to cloud-native platforms.

Mainframe Migration

QuickCloud Mainframe Migration converts COBOL, JCL, RPG, NATURAL, DMSII, HP TAL, and 150+ other legacy asset types to Java, Python, C#, Node.js, and microservices — with AI-powered business rules extraction and full rollback support.

Supported source platforms

PlatformAsset types
IBM z/OSCOBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, DB2 stored procedures, REXX, PL/I
IBM AS/400 (iSeries)RPG II/III/IV, CL, DDS, physical and logical files
UnisysDMSII, COBOL74/85, ECL, WFL
HP NonStop (Tandem)TAL, COBOL85, TACL, Enscribe
NATURAL / ADABASNATURAL, DDMs, system files

Supported target platforms

  • Languages: Java 17+, Python 3.11+, C# / .NET 8, Node.js 20+
  • Architecture: Monolith, microservices, serverless (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
  • Cloud: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform

How it works

  1. Scan — the scanner inventories all assets in your mainframe environment and produces a dependency graph
  2. Analyze — Claude AI extracts business rules, identifies coupling, and scores each asset for conversion complexity
  3. Convert — automated code conversion runs in parallel; complex rules are flagged for human review
  4. Validate — parallel-run mode runs the converted application alongside the mainframe for output comparison
  5. Cut over — phase gate enforcement ensures each validation milestone is met before the next phase begins

Key features

  • 150+ asset types — broadest coverage in the market
  • AI business rules extraction — powered by Claude, routed through your tenant-isolated AI Gateway
  • Self-healing via Gateway — runtime anomalies are detected and routed back through the AI Gateway for auto-remediation
  • Parallel-run validation — side-by-side output comparison before decommissioning the mainframe
  • Full rollback — every phase is reversible; no destructive changes to the source environment
